Artfix L21C Medium All-Purpose Linen Canvas is a premium Belgian linen canvas with a medium grain, designed specifically for oil painting. It is made from strong linen with a tight weave and a familiar medium texture for varied brushwork. The canvas is double-primed with oil primer to provide regular absorption and a responsive painting surface. It has a 430gsm primed weight and 4.5oz pre-primed weight, with 11.2 warp threads per cm and 12.2 weft threads per cm. It is not suitable for acrylic painting techniques. Artfix Belgian linen has been handcrafted for over 30 years in Provence, France, by the Narozni family. The warm, dry climate is ideal for slow, even drying of primed canvas surfaces. Artfix Linen has superb archival characteristics: each canvas is guaranteed not to peel, crack or flake, and will not fluctuate or lose stability due to changes in humidity and temperature.
