Artfix L64U Quadruple Universally-Primed Fine Linen Canvas is a fine, tight-weave Belgian linen canvas designed for professional artists. Made with long natural linen thread for fewer knots and a strong surface, it is quadruple primed and double-sized for added protection. The conservator-grade surface is designed to support long-term stability when treated correctly. Its absorbency allows paint to bite into the surface for strong adhesion, while the fine weave supports detailed work, portraits, landscapes, depth of color, and luminous undertones. Universally primed, it is ideal for oil and acrylic painting. The universal priming combines qualities associated with oil priming with the durability of acrylic, creating a surface that is more matte and absorbent than traditional glossy acrylic primers. It is suitable for oils, water-mixable oils, alkyds, acrylic paints, egg tempera, and casein. Artfix Belgian linen has been handcrafted for over 30 years in Provence, France, by the Narozni family. The warm, dry climate is ideal for slow, even drying of primed canvas surfaces. Artfix Linen has superb archival characteristics: each canvas is guaranteed not to peel, crack or flake, and will not fluctuate or lose stability due to changes in humidity and temperature.
