Artfix : L40S Pre-Sized Linen : Unprimed : 415gsm : Coarse : 10x15cm (Apx.4x6in) : Sample
SKU CAL40SSAM
Artfix CL40S Clear Glue Sized Linen is a 415gsm coarse-toothed, unprimed linen with a tight weave that can be used with a variety of painting mediums, including oil, water-mixable oil, acrylic, and acrylic gouache. CL40 canvas has a heavier thread and tighter weave compared to the other linens in this range. It is extremely durable, making it perfect for murals and large-scale artwork where a gentle texture is desired. It has been pre-sized with a single glue layer for universal use. The artist can finish the linen by adding their own choice of primer to the surface: acrylic primer or gesso, clear acrylic medium, homemade genuine gesso, or oil primer. Linen, by nature, is stronger and more durable than cotton and is proven to stand the test of time. Although more affordable and the most popular today, cotton canvas is not as strong and deteriorates faster than linen. Please note, one sample per customer. Samples are a great way to try out our wide range of canvases and include leading brands such as Artfix, Belle Arti, Jackson's, and more. Standard postage charges apply.
