Last updated October 22, 2026
This Privacy Notice for ArtSnag ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we access, collect, store, use and share personal information when you use artsnag.com and related ArtSnag services. Questions or concerns? Contact contact@artsnag.com.
SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
We use account, saved-item and tracking information to provide the features you request. Requested price alerts are not a marketing subscription. ArtSnag is for adults aged 18 and over.
Cloudflare supports hosting, storage, security and email delivery. Limited usage analytics is sent to PostHog in the United States. Analytics is on by default, but you can turn it off and we respect DNT and GPC for this collection. The analytics integration does not use analytics cookies, persistent visitor identifiers or session recordings.
Sharing a stash makes its items accessible to anyone with the link. Opening retailer or affiliate links takes you to separate services with their own privacy practices. You can contact us about your information and applicable privacy rights using the options below, including the data subject access request form.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect information you provide when you create an account, request price alerts, save or share items, or contact us. Depending on the features you use, this includes your name, email address, password, contact or authentication data, saved product identifiers, save dates, price targets and price-alert preferences. Password accounts store a password hash, not your readable password.
Sensitive Information. We process account login credentials, including email addresses combined with passwords or sign-in tokens, as needed to provide and secure access to your account or alerts. These credentials may be considered sensitive personal information under applicable law.
Email-only tracking, when available, does not require a name or password. You must verify your email before alerts begin. We store verification, session, tracking and email-delivery records to operate this feature.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
Our hosting and security services process technical request information to provide and protect the site. Account-session records can include your IP address and browser information. We also collect limited public-page usage and performance information as described in section 4. This does not mean that your account details or IP address are sent to our analytics provider.
We use cookies for authentication and local browser storage for your browser-only stash and analytics preference. Read our Cookie Notice for the storage names, purposes, durations and controls.
Information from other sources
When you choose Google sign-in, where available, we receive the basic account information described in section 5. We collect public product and price information from retailers to provide the catalogue. We do not use marketing lists or marketing partners to obtain personal information for promotional emails.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
- To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
- To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send verification, sign-in, recovery and other service-related messages, including changes to our terms or policies. These are not marketing emails.
- To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
- To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
- Requested price alerts and saved items. We use your email address, selected products, target prices and alert preferences to verify your email, provide requested price-drop alerts, and manage your saved items. We do not send marketing emails.
Related-item recommendations use public product information, not personal profiles or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In Short: We share information needed to operate the Services, when you choose to share it, and in the situations described below.
Service Providers. Cloudflare provides hosting, account storage, security and email delivery. PostHog processes the limited usage analytics described in section 4 in the United States. These providers receive information needed to perform their functions. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and security signals to help prevent abuse. Turnstile privacy information
Privacy Requests. If you use the linked Termly data subject access request form, the information you enter is processed through Termly to submit your request. You can instead email us at contact@artsnag.com.
Sharing You Choose. Anyone with a shared stash link can view the saved items it exposes. Live account-stash links can be revoked. Copied snapshot links cannot be revoked. Revocation does not erase copies someone already made. Shared stashes do not include your target prices or email settings.
Retailer and Affiliate Links. Opening a retailer link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. Some MEEDEN links pass through the Awin affiliate network. When you click those links, Awin and the retailer can process the click and use their own tracking technologies to attribute purchases. ArtSnag may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. The site's analytics preference does not control those other services.
Legal and Security Needs. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate abuse or enforce our terms.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
In Short: We use authentication cookies, local browser storage and limited usage analytics. We do not use the analytics integration to deliver targeted advertising.
Authentication cookies support account access and, when available, Google sign-in and email-only alert management. Local storage keeps your browser-only stash and analytics preference. A browser-only stash stays in that browser unless you choose to import it into an account or share it. Clearing browser data can remove those local saves and preferences, but does not delete your account stash or other server records.
PostHog usage analytics
Usage analytics is on by default. You can turn it off through Usage analytics on the site. We also disable this collection when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Your choice is saved in that browser.
Limited public-page and product-view events, retailer clicks, search-result counts, catalogue performance information and basic error information are sent through ArtSnag's relay to PostHog in the United States. Events use a temporary identifier held in page memory that resets when the page reloads. This integration does not set analytics cookies or store a persistent visitor identifier in local storage.
Our analytics does not send search terms, form values, account details or stash contents, and does not record browsing sessions. The relay does not forward your browser headers or IP address to PostHog. Turning analytics off does not disable technical processing needed to provide and secure the site.
For storage details and browser controls, read our Cookie Notice.
5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
In Short: When you choose Google sign-in, where available, we receive basic Google account information to authenticate you.
We receive your Google account identifier, email address, verification status and basic profile information such as your name and profile image. We use this information to sign you in and maintain your ArtSnag account. We store the account connection and authentication tokens needed for that connection. Google sign-in does not give ArtSnag access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
We use this information for the purposes described in this notice. Google has its own privacy practices. You can remove ArtSnag's access through your Google account settings. This does not itself delete your ArtSnag account or saved data.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Account, stash and tracking records are retained while needed to provide those features. Some records may remain after a feature is stopped where needed for delivery deduplication, security, troubleshooting or legal obligations. Expired verification links and sessions stop working, but expiration does not necessarily mean the associated database record is immediately deleted.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: ArtSnag is for adults aged 18 and over.
You must be at least 18 to use the Services. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that personal information from someone under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to delete that information as required by applicable law. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, please contact contact@artsnag.com.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Price-alert controls: Price-alert emails include a way to stop emails for that item. You can also change your tracking preferences or stop a track using the available controls. We do not send marketing emails. Verification, recovery and other necessary service messages are separate from price alerts.
Account Information
There is currently no self-service account deletion or data-export tool. Requests are handled through the contact options below.
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services. For further information, please see our Cookie Notice: https://artsnag.com/cookies.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at contact@artsnag.com.
10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
We disable our usage analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC). This applies without requiring you to change the site's analytics setting. You can also turn analytics off through Usage analytics on the site.
These signals do not disable the technical processing needed to serve and secure the site, or control separate services you visit through Google, retailer or affiliate links. For information about GPC, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.
11. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have the right to request access to and receive details about the personal information we maintain about you and how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law. More information is provided below.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect

- Saved-item and tracking information, including products, save dates, targets, email preferences, price events and delivery records.

We receive information from you, from technical operation of the Services, and from Google when you choose that sign-in option. See section 1 for details.
