Rublev Wax Medium is a soft, professional-quality paste that adds body and texture to oil colors while enhancing workability. Expertly formulated with naturally bleached beeswax, dammar, and odorless mineral spirits, use it as a working medium to achieve greater control over texture and application. As an additional benefit, Wax Medium enhances the durability of paint layers, producing a harder, shinier film than wax or traditional wax pastes alone.

When making your own oil colors, add Wax Medium to oil when grinding pigments to help achieve a smooth, workable consistency and prevent oil separation. For cold wax painting, combine it with pigment and mineral spirits or turpentine to reach your desired consistency.
