About this product range
  • Natural medium for oil paints
  • Faster drying than bodied linseed oil
  • Adds gloss, leveling, and flow out to oil paints
  • Use as a medium or add to homemade mediums

Rublev Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil is a natural medium that adds gloss, leveling, and flow to oil paints. Exposed to sunlight for at least three months in shallow tanks containing lead plates, the linseed oil is also aerated to create a thick, fast-drying consistency. The color of sun-thickened linseed oils can vary from pale yellow to darker tones due to the time of the year it was processed. It can be used alone or added to homemade mediums.
