About this product range
  • Professional quality
  • Improves pigment dispersion
  • Supports drying efficiency
  • Boosts gloss and hardness

Calcium Drier is an essential additive for oil and alkyd paints, serving as a pigment wetting agent to improve pigment dispersion, gloss, and hardness. When incorporated with pigments, it helps preserve the drying efficiency of other driers. Additionally, calcium enhances the performance of cobalt driers, supporting effective "through drying" in oil and alkyd paints. Generally, 0.02% to 0.3% calcium metal is added relative to the binder's weight, with increased levels recommended for use as a wetting agent or to prevent drying loss.

Made in the USA.
