Awagami papers are made from traditional natural fibers such as Kozo and Gampi as well as Bamboo, Cotton, and Hemp. They are produced at Awagami Factory, a sixth-generation family-run paper mill where traditional methods of making washi sit alongside modern innovations. Awagami Washi is always acid free and uses traditional fibers such as Kozo and Gampi as well as non-tree fibers such as bamboo, cotton and hemp.

Awagami Mingeishi is a classic and traditional white washi favoured by Japanese artists for centuries. A blend of 70% premium alpha cellulose and 30% kozo fiber, Mingeishi is strong and resilient while having a fairly soft surface and being lightweight. A versatile washi that is suitable for mixed media and all types of printmaking.
