Awagami Washi : Japanese Paper : Bamboo Select : 170gsm : 43x52cm (Apx.17x20in) : Single Sheet

Awagami Washi Printmaking Paper is a Japanese paper made with bamboo, a non-tree fiber used in traditional washi production. Made by Awagami Factory, a multi-generation family-run paper mill, it reflects a papermaking tradition valued for warmth, resilience, and durability.

Designed for printmaking, this paper forms part of Awagami’s range of washi made from natural fibers, including kozo, gampi, bamboo, cotton, and hemp. Japanese washi is distinguished from Western paper by its fiber composition and traditional production methods, which can produce strong, absorbent sheets.

This is a single sheet of 43 x 52cm Awagami Washi Bamboo Select Paper in 170gsm.
