Daniel Smith : Signature Series Watercolor Paint : 15ml : Joseph Z's Warm Gray : Series 2

Daniel Smith's goal is to make the painting process as memorable as your finished masterpiece. Daniel Smith have spent eighteen years developing the finest and most complete line of watercolor paint so you can create your own unique vision. Today as in 1993, these watercolors are 'formulated to meet and exceed the highest industry standards for the manufacture of artist's paints', and every batch made is tested and analyzed for its performance qualities.

Part of Daniel Smith's Signature Series, Joseph Z's Warm Gray is very dark in mass tone with the slightest pink undertone in light washes. It mixes beautifully with other colors, both toning down and adding a hint of warmth. Joseph Z's Warm Gray is semi-transparent, granulating, low staining and has excellent lightfastness. Joseph Zbukvic describes it as: 'perfect for strong summer light when shadows have that rich warm glow. It's particularly useful for painting late afternoon light effects with its pinkish glow when it's diluted into lighter washes. It can capture that evening glow perfectly.'
