Boasting the same rigorous strength, adhesion, flexibility, and durability of traditional acrylic grounds, these quick-drying, universal gessoes generate six to seven times fewer carbon dioxide emissions — the result of an innovative formulation that replaces petrochemical resins with a recycled resin binder.

Ideal for use on canvas, wood, cardboard, and other surfaces, Studio Green Gessoes dry to a lightly textured matte finish that improves the adhesion of acrylic or oil paint layers. They can be sanded to a smooth finish after drying.
