About this product range
- Extends paint without altering consistency
- Makes colors slightly transparent
- Free from stearates, solvents, and resins
- Does not alter color temperature in oil paints
Rublev Impasto Putty Medium is a stiff white paste that slightly increases the transparency of oil colors while maintaining their buttery consistency. It allows you to build thick impasto layers with ease, with brushstrokes that hold their form without slumping or leveling. Depending on the proportion added to paint, this calcite and barite-rich medium does not significantly affect the drying time.
Impasto Putty is free from stearates, solvents, and resins, so it can safely be used without risk of cracking or delaminating. It can be thinned with solvent or oil for varied textures or mixed directly with oil paints on the palette.
