Liquitex : Professional : Satin Varnish : 946ml

Liquitex Satin Varnish is a 100% acrylic polymer varnish that protects against UV damage and resists dirt retention. The varnish dries to a transparent, satin acrylic layer which is breathable and permanent. It increases brightness and color saturation and dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface. Suitable for any acrylic painted surface such as canvas, paper, wood, stone, and Plexiglass. Once dry, it is archival, non-yellowing, and water-resistant.

How to use:
Apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic paint.

Varnish surface and environment must be clean, dry, and dust free.

Acrylic paintings must be completely dried and cured for a minimum 48-72 hours before varnishing.

Stir gently before use. Do not thin with water, shake, or vigorously over-brush as this can result in surface bubbles and a foggy look when dry.

Apply using long, even strokes, covering the surface top to bottom while moving from one side to the other. Don’t apply with a roller or sponge brush.

Apply 1-2 thin coats, allowing at least three hours dry time between coats. If you require more than two layers, first use Gloss Varnish as a base layer, then apply Satin Varnish as your top coat.

Caution: Acrylic paints and mediums become increasingly brittle in cold weather. Do not apply below 60 degrees.

Thinning: Do not thin, as it will weaken the varnish film and adhesion.

Removal: Not removable. Do not attempt to remove these varnishes with harsh solvents.

pdf=liqsatvar.pdf Liquitex Satin Varnish Safety Data

Please note: due to trading agreements we are unable to supply this product outside of the EU.
