<p>Liquitex Matt Varnish is a 100% acrylic polymer varnish that protects against UV damage and resists dirt retention. The varnish dries to a transparent, satin acrylic layer which is breathable and permanent. It increases brightness and color saturation and dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface. Suitable for any acrylic painted surface such as canvas, paper, wood, stone, and Plexiglass. Once dry, it is archival, non-yellowing, and water-resistant.</p> <ul><strong>How to use:</strong> <li>Apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic paint.</li> <li>Varnish surface and environment must be clean, dry, and dust free.</li> <li>Acrylic paintings must be completely dried and cured for a minimum 48-72 hours before varnishing.</li> <li>Stir gently before use. Do not thin with water, shake, or vigorously over-brush as this can result in surface bubbles and a foggy look when dry.</li> <li>Apply using long, even strokes, covering the surface top to bottom while moving from one side to the other. Don’t apply with a roller or sponge brush.</li> <li>Apply 1-2 thin coats, allowing at least three hours dry time between coats. If you require more than two layers, first use Gloss Varnish as a base layer, then apply Matt Varnish as your top coat.</li> <li>Caution: Acrylic paints and mediums become increasingly brittle in cold weather. Do not apply below 60 degrees.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Thinning:</strong> Do not thin, as it will weaken the varnish film and adhesion.</p> <p><strong>Removal:</strong> Not removable.
