The Saunders Waterford Watercolor Book is a premium sketchbook containing 100% cotton, mold-made watercolor paper with a classic cold pressed surface. Its fine grain texture offers a perfect balance between smooth detail and subtle tooth, making it ideal for watercolor, ink, and mixed media. With its strong binding and elegant square format, this book is perfect for both studio work and travel. Saunders Waterford is an exquisite watercolor paper, traditionally made on a cylinder mold machine. This is the superior quality watercolor paper made by St Cuthberts Mill and comes with the Royal Watercolour Society’s endorsement. Made using 100% cotton, the highest quality papermaking material, to high archival standards. Each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to help defend finished pieces of work from discoloration caused by acids present in atmospheric pollution. Its attractive surface is created using natural woolen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. The surface is sized in gelatine, making it strong and resilient to scrubbing and other rough treatments. This is a very high quality watercolor paper that can be used with a variety of media. Mold-made, gelatin tub-sized, and acid-free.
