The honey used in L'Aquarelle Sennelier acts not only as a preservative, but also as an additive that adds brilliance and smoothness to the paint. Sennelier has revamped its watercolor formula, increasing the amount of honey to reinforce the longevity, radiance, and luminosity of the colors.

True to Sennelier's roots, the color palette remains that of the Impressionists and the paint is made in France using traditional methods. Each color is ground in the traditional way using grindstones rotating slowly so as not to heat up the paste. This operation is carried out in several stages until the paste is as fine as possible, getting rid of any particles which might impair the smoothness of the wash.

This metal tin set includes a Size 3 Sennelier watercolor brush, and the following half pan colors:

Titanium White

Sennelier Yellow

Primary Yellow

Indian Yellow

Yellow Lake

Naples Yellow Deep

Yellow Sophie

Sennelier Yellow Deep

Red Orange

Sennelier Orange

French Vermilion

Bright Red

Venetian Red

Alizarin Crimson

Carmine

Quinacridone Red

Opera Rose

Cobalt Violet Light Hue

Permanent Magenta

Dioxazine Purple

Indigo

Indantherene Blue

Cobalt Deep

Ultramarine Deep

Ultramarine Light

Phthalocyanine Blue

Cinereous Blue

Cerulean Blue

Forest Green

Phthalo Green Deep

Viridian Green

Emerald

Sennelier Green

Hooker's Green

Phthalo Green Light

Brown Pink

Yellow Ochre

Gold Ochre

Burnt Sienna

Caput Mortuum

Payne's Gray

Neutral Tint

Van Dyck Brown

Warm Sepia

Raw Umber

Raw Sienna

Burnt Umber

Ivory Black
