Unison Large Soft Pastel - Red Earth 8

Handcrafted in the heart of Northumberland, England since 1987, Unison Large Soft Pastels are individually hand rolled and air-dried to produce what many consider to be the world’s very finest soft pastel. Each stick takes on the tapered shape of the maker’s hands—look closely, and you’ll notice that no two are exactly alike.

Rather than adding black or white, colors are uniquely formulated with pure, traditional pigments in a cycle of related hues. The resulting application is radiant, never muddied by the blending of colors. Because they contain very little binder, colors are smooth, brilliantly responsive, and faithfully lightfast across the range.

Unison Large Soft Pastels are packaged in a sturdy black cardboard box with each pastel cradled and protected by foam. Each large stick measures 2-3/4″ L x 1″ W (7.3 cm x 2.4 cm). Due to their handmade nature and variations in pigment behavior, size and softness varies slightly between colors.
