Forget about time-consuming preparation and get right to work with Blick Studio Stretched Cotton Canvas, which offers the perfect combination of quality, economy, and convenience. Built for permanence and stability in applications where a lighter-weight stretcher bar is adequate, it's an ideal choice for students and hobbyists, as well as professionals doing studies and experiments. Blick Studio Canvas is excellent for painting with oils, acrylics, or alkyds.
We start with medium texture cotton duck and add three coats of acid-free titanium gesso to reach a primed weight of approximately 10.5 oz. The canvas is hand-stretched and back-stapled around solid wood stretcher bars. Larger canvas sizes are braced for extra support. Cross brace configurations may vary by size and style.
