Studio Essentials : Chinese Painting : Rice Paper Roll of 8 Sheets : 300mmx1.37mtr

This fine Chinese paper is suitable for brush writing, Chinese painting, and calligraphy. Made from mulberry bark in China using a centuries-old manufacturing process, it offers excellent quality at an affordable price for beginners and intermediate artists.

The paper feels somewhere between crisp and soft. One side is more absorbent, rougher and matte, while the other is less absorbent, smoother and shinier. It is a warm off-white color. Lengthwise chain lines, similar to laid lines, are visible as stripes of increased transparency, but they are not raised and cannot be felt.

The paper comes as 8 separate sheets rolled around a cardboard tube for storage. Each sheet measures 300mm x 1.37m and weighs 30gsm.
