Saunders Waterford : Watercolor Paper : Gummed Pad : 300gsm (140lb) : 12x16in : Rough

This superb artist-grade paper from Saunders Waterford is a 100% cotton watercolor paper, with a structure giving it strength and a characteristic feel. The manufacturing process, using a cylinder mold, makes it possible to obtain harmonious and varied grains with rough, cold pressed, and hot pressed quality.

The paper is gelatin-sized, and then air-dried, so that the colors retain a fine rendering even after being scraped and erased. Its natural whiteness (no optical bleaches), mildew protection and neutral PH mean that the paper has a very long shelf-life. Saunders Waterford paper is also endorsed by the Royal Watercolor Society.

These sheets have a rough surface, and are not suitable for detailed watercolor painting. For more information on the production and properties of watercolor papers, click here.
