About this product range
- Washi paper on hardboard with gold foil edging
- Ideal for sumi-e, watercolor, haiku, and mixed media
- Two size options for different creative needs
- Smooth and textured surfaces for versatility
Give your work the distinction it deserves with Yasutomo Shikishi Boards. Each Japanese-style art board is crafted by mounting authentic washi paper to a rigid backing, then trimming it in a gleaming gold foil border. These boards are perfect for traditional ink painting, haiku calligraphy, and watercolor, but their sturdy construction and absorbent surfaces make them equally suited for collage and mixed media.
The boards come in three finishes: Hosho, Gasen, and Torinoko. Hosho has a smooth white, absorbent finish; Gasen has a textured white, absorbent finish; and Torinoko has a smooth yellow, acid-free, absorbent finish that’s ideal for line work and watercolor washes.
