In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolours contains only the finest raw materials. The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually tests their ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. Dot cards are a great way of trying out a colour before investing, and also make a great colour chart to reference from when working out what colours you will need for a particular painting. This Supergranulation dot card contains the range of Schmincke Horadam Supergranulation dots on watercolour paper. With a wet brush the colours can be painted directly in the fields marked with name and number.
