Holbein : Artists' : Granulating Watercolor Paint : 5ml : Set of 24

Holbein Artists' Granulating Watercolors are made with at least two different pigments that gently granulate and create beautiful textured and color-blend effects. These effects can be controlled by the amount of water that is added as well as the type of painting surface, with rough papers accentuating the granulated finish.

Holbein watercolors produce brilliant transparent washes as well as powerful clean darks when used in more concentrated applications. A European-style transparent watercolor, Holbein watercolor also preserves the brush handling qualities inherent in traditional Japanese watercolor techniques. Without ox-gall or other dispersing agents, Holbein watercolor moves slowly permitting greater color density and brush control.
