L'Aquarelle Sennelier has been produced in the same way for more than a century using the best pigments and top quality Kordofan Gum Arabic as a bonding agent. The honey used in L'Aquarelle Sennelier acts not only as a preservative, but also as an additive bestowing incomparable brilliance and smoothness to the paint. Always striving for excellence, Sennelier has revamped its watercolor formula, increasing the amount of honey to reinforce the longevity, radiance, and luminosity of the colors. True to Sennelier's roots, the color palette remains that of the Impressionists and the paint is, as always, made in France using traditional methods; each color is ground in the traditional way using grindstones rotating slowly so as not to heat up the paste. This operation is carried out in several stages until the paste is as fine as possible, thus getting rid of any particles which might impair the smoothness of the wash.

This set contains one Raphael Kolinsky Sable round (size 4) and 100 colors from the Sennelier l’Aquarelle range. This is the full range of colors listed in the color chart below, apart from one color (Opera Rose), which Sennelier have been unable to make recently due to supply issues. While these problems persist, Opera Rose will be replaced with an extra tube in a similar color. The colors are housed within a wooden presentation box for protection during storage or transport.
