Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils are among the finest oil-based colored pencils available. They feature robust 3.8 mm cores packed with lightfast pigments in a smooth oil-based binder. The result is buildable, blendable color that’s easy to control and refine.

Leads are securely bonded to California cedar casings for strength and stability, making these pencils resistant to breakage—whether you're sharpening to a fine point or applying firm pressure. The pigments are water-resistant, smudge-proof, and rated from good to maximum for lightfastness, so your work stays brilliant over time.

Faber-Castell also holds a strong commitment to sustainability and ethical production. Their pencils, pens, and erasers are made with synthetic or plant-based materials, never tested on animals, and packaged without casein-based glues.
