This is a pair of Jackson’s Professional Wooden Stretcher Bars with a profile dimension of 18 x 43mm. These stretcher bars are solid, easy to assemble, and are PEFC-certified, ensuring they come from responsibly managed forests where biodiversity is preserved and felled trees are replanted. The unique square ends can cause some confusion, but simply slot them together as shown in the diagram for a perfect snug fit. These stretcher bars are ideal for creating custom canvases, especially if you're after a size or surface type not available ready-made. Stretcher bars measuring 76cm (30in) or longer include a single crossbar slot. For optimal stability, a single center bar should run across the width (the shorter side) of the frame. There’s no need for measurements or calculations when ordering – center bars are clearly labeled to match the corresponding stretcher bar size, even though they are slightly shorter to fit neatly inside the frame.
