Trekell’s Hog Bristle Brushes feature premium Chungking hog bristles, long regarded as the gold standard for oil painting. Naturally stiff and resilient, they provide the strength and control needed for impasto, scumbling, and other demanding techniques.

Each fiber ends in natural flags—tiny split tips that increase surface area, boost paint pickup, and deliver a smoother, more even release of color. The interlocking bristle structure reinforces the tuft, maintaining alignment and preserving a clean edge as you work.

Balanced 10-inch handles give you confident reach and a responsive feel. These brushes hold their shape, carry plenty of paint, and withstand demanding, repeated use. The line spans a complete family of working shapes—Bright, Flat, Filbert, Long Flat, Long Filbert, Round, and Fan, each offering its own character and control for the varied demands of oil painting.
