Da Vinci Kolinsky Red Sable Lettering Brushes set the standard for professional sign-painting brushes. Made famous by their decades of use at the United States’ longest running professional sign-painting program, these brushes are ideal for achieving long, fluid strokes.

The soft, springy red sable hairs offer a high degree of absorbency and retain their squared-off, straight-edged shape with exacting precision. From fine-lining details in gouache to inking elaborate scripted fonts with a mahlstick, they deliver crisp, clean results. They also perform exceptionally well when paired with oil paints and watercolors.

Each brush is handcrafted in Germany using sustainably sourced wood and a durable nickel-plated brass ferrule that resists corrosion. The wooden handles are tumble-finished with a non-toxic lacquer for a glossy, low-maintenance look.
