Holbein : Artists' colored Pencil : Set of 150 : Wooden Box : Limited Edition

Holbein Artists’ colored Pencils are a range of soft, vivid, high quality colored pencils from leading art materials manufacturer Holbein.

Each pencil has a smooth, buttery consistency and delivers vibrant color. Holbein uses high-grade pigments selected for their resistance to fading and discoloration when exposed to light. A balanced mixture of oils, waxes, and pigments allows artists to build rich, dense layers of color.

The pencils have a comfortable 7.8mm round barrel and a thick 3.8mm core, allowing broad areas of color to be applied quickly. They are supplied pre-sharpened and, due to their softness, should be used with a good-quality sharpener. Their smooth application and rich color make them ideal for bold, colorful work or for emphasising selected areas of a drawing.

Created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Holbein Artists’ colored Pencils, this limited-edition set contains the complete collection of 150 colors in a finely crafted wooden box. Made in Japan, the box is constructed from plywood produced using forest-thinning timber from Hokkaido and recycled paper, and assembled with a formaldehyde-free adhesive.

The lid is made from natural solid wood, while three removable trays allow all 150 colors to be viewed at once. The angled edges of the lid and trays are designed to help them stack together smoothly.
