Jackson's : Professional Oil Color

<p>Jackson's Professional Oil Colors are luminous, vibrant, and full of character. Made by skilled artisans, we use only the finest grade pigments and the purest refined oils.</p><p>Lower quality oil paints tend to be formulated and manufactured to ensure all colors have a uniform consistency and drying time. Our range of professional colors is made to reveal the natural beauty and character of each pigment. In order to maintain optimum color strength, we don't use extenders or fillers.</p><p>After mixing, the pigments and oils are passed through water-cooled mills – these are made of stone or steel, according to pigment type. We grind our colors as many times as is needed to release the full 'color potential'. Some pigments like Ultramarine only need gentle milling, whereas coarser earth pigments must undergo a lengthier process on the mill to achieve optimum dispersion.</p><p>The intense color saturation and purity of this range is achieved by high pigment loading coupled with our traditional production process. We work to ensure our colors have the maximum lightfastness that is possible for each pigment - the majority are rated ASTM 1 (Excellent).</p><p>We don't use drying modifiers to even out drying times and so you will find some variation across the range reflecting the natural drying characteristics of each pigment. MEK and MEKO are not used in any Jackson's oil paints.</p>
