Holbein Artists' Gouache represents Japan’s foremost standard in professional opaque color. The range includes 89 brilliant colors in 15 ml tubes, each expertly made in Japan with ultra-finely ground, naturally opaque pigments—never chalk or whitening agents. The result: pure, brilliant colors with maximum saturation and a velvety matte finish that doesn't cloud, darken, or muddy when mixed.

Ideal for layering, Holbein Artists’ Gouache delivers absolute opacity when applied wet over dry, with no cracking or bleeding between layers. The colors remain fully rewettable, allowing for wet-on-wet techniques and easy reworking. Offering studio-grade lightfastness for studio and portfolio work, they're compatible with watercolor, Holbein Acryla colors, diluted acrylic inks, and airbrush mediums.
