UART : Dark Sanded Pastel Paper Sheets : 400 / 500 / 600 / 800 Grade

UART Dark Sanded Pastel Paper Sheets are specially coated sanded surfaces designed for pastel techniques, with a pH-neutral, acid-free surface and a consistent texture from corner to corner. They readily accept multiple applications of soft and hard pastels, as well as watercolor, alcohol, and oil washes for underpainting.

The surface allows layering, correction, and further development without compromising the tooth or damaging the paper. It also supports rich, high-contrast effects across a wide range of media, while the consistent manufacturing process helps maintain an even working surface throughout the sheet.

Difference between grades:

• 400 – a favorite with many professional pastel artists and a good starting point for those trying UART for the first time
• 500 – a moderate tooth suitable for a wide range of media
• 600 – suited to artists focusing on detailed work
• 800 – the finest tooth, popular for very fine pastel or colored pencil application
