About this product range
Akua Wiping Fabric is ideal for wiping excess ink from the surface of an intaglio plate. Made from sturdy polyester fabric, it's long-lasting and lint-free . Akua Wiping Fabric is less absorbent, smoother, and softer than traditional tarlatan. As a result, plates print with highly saturated color and smooth solids, without streaking. This fabric has a "paper-like" quality that helps eliminate the extra work of a final paper wipe or hand wipe on the plate. Akua ink never dries or hardens on it, so the same piece can be reused hundreds of times.
