The 120gsm paper is suitable for drawing in pencil, pastel, chalk, and pigment marker, and is well-suited to highlights with white gouache or ink.

This acid-free paper is resistant to light, and the pad is glue-bound at the top, allowing the sheets to be removed easily.

Clairefontaine actively participates in the development of French forests by managing several hundred hectares of fir and spruce trees in the Vosges mountains. The paper mill in the Étival Clairefontaine region remains dynamic 150 years after its inception. It is self-sufficient for 80% of its own biological water treatment installations and has been awarded a Water Trophy by the State.
