Mayco Stoneware Classic Glazes offer incredible versatility and ease for potters of all levels. Available in a broad range of finishes, textures, and glaze combinations, they’re ideal for dipping or pouring, delivering even, consistent coverage across various stoneware pottery forms. Formulated to enhance clay’s natural texture, they can also be layered for complex glaze effects.

Designed for mid-range to high-fire temperatures, Stoneware Classic Glazes perform well in both oxidation and reduction firing environments across various stoneware clay bodies. While optimized for Cone 5/6, they maintain their stability and visual appeal at Cone 10.

__All Classic Glazes are food safe except for:__ SW-223 Milk Glass, SW-215 Micro Champagne, SW-132 Mirror Black, SW-218 Micro Ash, SW-217 Micro Cerulean, SW-216 Micro Jade, SW-222 Green Jasper, SW-225 Lily Pad, SW-226 Pink Pearl, SW-227 Tidal Wave, SW-228 Beetlewing, SW-229 Mood Ring, and SW-182 Antique Brass, which should not be used on food-contact surfaces.

__Micro Glazes (SW214 - 218)__ - "Micro" refers to micro-crystalline glazes that develop small crystallizations from zinc and silica during cooling. Unlike Mayco’s Stoneware Crystal glazes, which include glass frit, Micro glazes achieve their unique effects through the glaze’s inherent composition during firing, eliminating the need for added glass crystals.
