Jackson’s Two Rivers Handmade Watercolor Paper is made exclusively for Jackson’s by the Two Rivers paper mill in Somerset. This conservation-quality paper is made from 100% cotton and linen rag and is heavily sized, creating an exceptionally durable surface that can withstand prolonged working. As the paint remains on the surface rather than being quickly absorbed, pigments dry with a sharp, brilliant finish. The linen content further strengthens the paper, helping it resist lifting, scrubbing, and reworking.

Two Rivers paper has a distinctive random texture, unlike the mechanically uniform surfaces of many other papers. Both sides are identical, so there is no designated front or reverse. As well as watercolor, it is suitable for pastel, oil, printmaking, photographic processes, and a wide range of mixed media. The cold pressed (NOT) surface is slightly rougher than most.
