Khadi : Lokta Paper : 50x75cm (Apx. 19.5x29.5in) : 30gsm : Light
SKU PKN1NL
Khadi Lokta Paper is a handmade mountain paper from eastern Nepal, crafted from the inner bark fibers of lokta, a plant that grows in the high-altitude forests of the Himalayan foothills. Lokta (Daphne bholua), which thrives above 3,000 meters, yields a strong, durable paper. The sheets are made using the traditional Nepalese floating-mold method, in which the pulp is poured onto the paper frame and then sun-dried in place. This lightweight 30gsm Lokta Paper is an off-white, natural color. It is ideal for drawing in ink, calligraphy, and printmaking. This is a 50 x 75cm sheet of Khadi Lokta Paper in Light.
