About this product range
- Hand-blown in the style of 16th-century Venice
- High-capacity spiral-fluted tip
- Compatible with any fountain or dip pen ink
- Excellent for calligraphy and testing new inks
- Easy to clean and maintain
Hand-blown in the tradition of 16th-century Venetian glassmaking, Herbin Straight Glass Dip Pens offer a uniquely tactile writing experience, creating a direct connection between nib and paper so you stay fully engaged with every line you write. The solid glass nib features delicate spiral grooves that hold ink in fine capillary channels, delivering smooth, consistent lines and allowing for longer stretches between dips.
Compatible with virtually any fountain pen ink, these pens are easy to rinse clean, making them ideal for testing new colors without cross-contamination. Unlike metal nibs, the glass tip won’t rust or corrode and won’t wear down over time. With proper care, it can last for years.
__How to Use__ Dip the nib partway into your ink bottle, then lightly touch the nib to the bottle opening to remove excess ink. Ink remains in the spiral grooves along the tip. As the flow begins to fade, gently rotate the pen to draw ink from the remaining grooves and continue writing smoothly.
Pen body measures 6" (15.2 cm) long. Nib measures 1" (2.5 cm).
