Sharpening Stone : Japanese Molded Waterstone : 4000 Grit

Japanese synthetic waterstones and slipstones for sharpening lino and woodcut tools of all types. The 1000 grit can be described as a medium stone and is used to sharpen to an almost perfect cutting edge. The 4000 grit or fine stone is used for the final hone and polish and will leave the tool ready for use. Before use the stones will need to be soaked in water for 10 to 15 minutes. After use the stones are best air dried and wrapped in a soft cloth for storage.
