Tri-Art : Crackle Ground

<p>Tri-Art Crackle Ground is an acrylic medium used to create cracked surface effects for acrylic painting. It has a thin consistency that can be poured, tilted, or spread with a palette knife, and is suitable for use on primed surfaces with a slight tooth as well as over-painted areas within an artwork.</p> <p>The size and character of the crackle pattern depend on how thickly it is applied, with thin layers producing finer cracks and thicker layers creating wider ones. It can be tinted with a small amount of color before application, and once dry, the surface can be developed further with paint, glazing, washes, dry brush, marker, pastel, or graphite. Rigid surfaces are recommended for thicker applications to help avoid sagging.</p>
