Japanese Paper : Gampi : 10gsm : 45.5x61cm : 5 Sheets

Gampi paper, or Gampi tissue, is the semi-gloss, lustrous tissue-like paper perfect for chine collé, drawing, and other printmaking techniques. Gampi is a unique fiber that, when made into a paper sheet, reacts to ink as if it had sizing on it, holding ink on its surface beautifully. Highly prized for chine collé, etching, lithography, monotype, and relief printing, this strong paper exhibits a high degree of shrinkage when wet and then dried.

Machine-made 100% Japanese Gampi paper cooked with caustic soda.
