Their natural hog bristle structure is well-suited to thicker paint, visible brushmarks, and more physical painting techniques. Akoya White Synthetics feature silky white synthetic hairs developed to replicate and build upon the qualities of natural hog bristle. Craters within each hair maximize color and liquid absorbency, allowing for controlled paint loading and smooth application. Shinku Red Synthetics are made to a high specification with glossy, springy synthetic fibers. They offer responsive handling and help create clean, fresh brushmarks, making them ideal for precise and expressive work. Procryl Synthetics are designed for professional oil and acrylic painters. Made with acrylic fibers and long matte black handles, they are moderately springy and absorbent, softening slightly over time with repeated solvent cleaning.
