Akua : Intaglio Ink : 473ml (16oz) : Carbon Black

Akua Intaglio Ink is a soy-based printmaking ink originally formulated for intaglio techniques, with a thick consistency and high quality lightfast pigments. This versatile ink can also be applied with a brayer for relief printmaking, monotype, and collagraph, and will print from plastic, wood, linoleum, and metal plates.

With minimal water content and no toxic driers, Akua Intaglio Ink provides an extended working time and will not skin or harden in the jar or on the ink slab, helping to minimize waste. The consistency can be softened with Akua Blending Medium or stiffened with Akua Mag Mix to suit different printmaking techniques. Once the finished print is dry, the ink becomes permanent.

Clean-up requires no toxic solvents. Excess ink can be removed with a dry cloth before cleaning tools and equipment with soap and water or washing-up liquid.
