Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd Oil Colors offer the rich luminosity and suave blending of traditional oil colors with the advantage of rapid drying. Formulated with a non-yellowing alkyd resin binder, these professional-quality colors dry to the touch on canvas in approximately 18–24 hours and can be varnished in just 30 days. This makes them excellent for building up layers or completing a painting in one session.

The majority single-pigment range includes 48 colors. Each is carefully formulated for maximum tinting strength, excellent handling, and to showcase the unique qualities of each pigment. Alkyd oil colors differ slightly from traditional oil colors, which slightly impacts pigment loads—you may notice increased transparency compared to Winsor & Newton’s traditional Artists’ Oil range.
