About this supply
The Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Etching Set of 6 is designed for versatile color printing. The three process colors can be mixed to create a spectrum of bright colors. You will find you can make a much wider range of greens, purples, blues, reds, and oranges than with standard blue, red, and yellow inks. The white, black, and extender can be added to create an even wider range of tints and shades.
For printmakers interested in non-toxic printmaking, Caligo provides an innovative range of oil-based inks that can be washed away with liquid soap and water, without the need for harmful and often more expensive solvents. Caligo Safe Wash Etching Inks are suitable for all types of intaglio printing, for example, etching, aquatint, line engraving etc.
This range does not contain any driers. If you require faster drying rates, you can add a small amount of cobalt or manganese driers.
The set contains the following 75ml tubes:
- Safe Wash Etching Process Red (Magenta)
- Safe Wash Etching Process Yellow
- Safe Wash Etching Process Blue (Cyan)
- Safe Wash Etching Carbon Black
- Safe Wash Etching Opaque White
- Safe Wash Etching Extender
