• Chunky rectangular blocks deliver a range of textures
• Soft charcoal in a range of greyscale shades
• Large volume of color, equivalent to 8 pencils
• Naturally watersoluble

Available in a range of grayscale shades, Derwent Charcoal XL Blocks feature a chunky, rectangular format that opens them up to a wide range of textures and effects. Their generous size, precise corners, and square profile allow for broad strokes or fine, expressive lines. Soft in texture yet strong enough to hold, blocks can be broken into pieces or grated into powder for additional texture. They are also naturally watersoluble and can be applied on damp surfaces for intense color release.
