- Converts cartridge pens to plunger-fill system
- Enables direct filling from bottled ink
- Eco-friendly alternative to disposable cartridges
- Durable resin construction for long-term use
The Pelikan C499 Ink Converter gives you an eco-conscious way to enjoy bottled inks with almost any Pelikan fountain pen — along with other fountain pens that use standard international cartridges. Simply replace your disposable cartridge with this reusable plunger-style converter to expand ink choices and reduce waste. Made from sturdy resin for reliable performance, the C499 Converter is a must-have for any fountain pen enthusiast.
There are two ways to fill the converter:
- Option 1: Put the converter in your fountain pen, just like a cartridge. Then dip the pen into a glass of ink until the nib and part of the grip section is submerged. Turn the rotating knob of the converter until the ink is soaked up.
- Option 2: Dip the converter in the ink glass to fill it directly. Turn the rotating knob of the converter until the ink is soaked up, then install the converter into the fountain pen the same way as you would a cartridge.
