Schmincke Oil Bronze Pigments are made with genuine metallic pigments for extraordinary lightfastness, opaque coverage, and a radiant metallic luster that outshines ordinary pearlescent colors. Perfect for leaf effects, when used in combination with Schmincke Bronze Oil Medium (sold separately), they create a smudge-proof, waterproof metallic layer that can still be removed or reactivated using turpentine or a suitable thinner.
Intended for indoor use only, mix three parts oil bronze pigment with two parts Schmincke Bronze Medium for application on primed surfaces including wood, metal, or plaster. The mixture can be thinned further with a turpentine substitute as needed. For very absorbent surfaces, it’s best to pre-treat with diluted Bronze Medium.
