Royal Talens : Rembrandt Soft Pastel : 15 Dark Colors Cardboard Box Set

SKU TR15D

Rembrandt soft pastels owe their quality to the close collaboration with professional artists, combined with traditional expertise and more than a century of experience in the manufacture of pastels. Each color is made according to a unique formula and the necessary raw materials go through very strict controls for each new batch. Rembrandt pastels have for many years been the most commonly used pastels in the world, in part due to their unique characteristics. The softness has been chosen so that the pastels can easily transfer their color while at the same time not fall apart or turn to powder. The Rembrandt pastels owe their very high colored intensity and color purity to the superior choice of pigments and the high pigment concentration. Only through a strict selection of the pigments used can the best combination of the characteristics be achieved. No harmful pigments are used. The color numbers followed by '-5' are the pure pigment. The color numbers which have a '-2' or '-3' after them have some black mixed in. Higher numbers such as '-7', '8' and '-9' indicate that the pastels have white mixed in.
