Manetti Readymade Acrylic Yellow Bole is a ready-to-use acrylic bole for gilding, designed to be applied directly to a clean, properly gessoed, and smoothed surface before laying gold leaf. It provides the colored ground needed beneath the leaf and is intended for straightforward use without additional preparation. It should be applied with a soft brush in at least three coats, allowing at least one hour between applications, and the gold leaf is then applied while the bole is still wet. Workability can vary depending on the surface, method, and amount applied, so testing is recommended to achieve the desired result; the product has an approximate yield of 7 to 10m² per kg.
